ABOUT ABOUT

According to research done by Good Jobs First, using tax incentives from mega deals costs taxpayers…on average…$456,000 PER JOB CREATED!

Workforce development professionals can create one job for between $8,000 and $10,000  PER JOB CREATED.

Pretty good savings, right?

Well, what if I told you there is an even a much more cost effective program…creating solid, sustainable good paying jobs for as low as $700.00 per job created.

Have I got you attention?  I hope so…because what I am talking about is called economic gardening.  And no, it’s not an agricultural program!

Economic gardening is actually a consulting service provided to second stage companies to help them grow their businesses. And, the successes this program is getting across the country is nothing short of amazing!

There are lots of programs to help start-up entrepreneurs and lots of tax incentives, etc. to help large corporations…but there has been very little help for mid-size companies…and the shame of that is that it is the mid-size companies who do most of the hiring!

So, while you might think of economic gardening as CEO training and mentoring, I like to think of it as a job creation program…because it truly does create NEW and sustainable jobs, unlike other incentive programs that just shuffle the board moving jobs from place to place, but not really creating new jobs.

Join us for an unprecedented look at economic gardening on this webinar.

We will be joined by the man who came up with this brilliant idea, Chris Gibbons, the founder of economic gardening.  Also on the webinar will be state level and local level program administrators who will share their challenges and successes in their developing their economic gardening programs.  And also joining us will be the National Economic Gardening program director, Melissa Phillips, from the Edward Lowe Foundation who will explain all of the details about how to start an economic gardening program in your state or region.

If you are looking for cost effective, proven methods for growing sustainable jobs in your region, you do not want to miss this webinar
